Bedford Candidate Forum Scheduled By League Of Women Voters
People attending will hear from candidates for the town board.

BEDFORD, NY — Bedford voters will have an opportunity to meet their local candidates on Tuesday, Oct. 24. The League of Women Voters of North East Westchester is holding a forum in the Fox Lane Middle School Little Theater, 632 S. Bedford Road in Bedford. The event begins at 7 pm; it is free and open to the public.
All of the candidates running for town office have been invited. Supervisor Chris Burdick is running unopposed, as are Town Justice Erik Jacobsen and Town Clerk Boo Fumagalli. Four people are running for two seats on the Town Board: Kyle Carleton, incumbent Maryann Carr, Kate Galligan and Mary Ellen McLaughlin.

“We are pleased to provide Bedford voters with this opportunity,” said Del Bashkow, co-president of LWVNEW. “We encourage residents to come with questions for their candidates.”
At the forum, the League of Women Voters of North East Westchester will provide a handout detailing the ballot questions facing voters in November. The group has also mailed printed Voters Guides to area households.
