The Fox Lane boys basketball squad is No. 5 in MSG Varsity's lastest Class AA rankings.

Harvey weekly wrap-up

BJV bball
On Wednesday, 12/7, the Harvey JV Boys’ Basketball teams lost to visiting New York Military Academy, 56-27. Harvey battled in the first half, but the Cavaliers ended up 13 points behind the Knights. In the second half, Harvey was outscored by 16 points. Leading Harvey scorer was Jake Berskson with 9 points. Also scoring for Harvey were Harry Solomon (8), Andrew Bowers (4), Andrew Schwartz and Matt Lewis with 2 points each, and Sam Mackiewicz and Jackson Roberts with one apiece.
The Harvey JV Boys’ Basketball team dropped a close one Monday, December 12 against Soundview. Harvey was down by only three when the second half began, but Soundview held on to the lead the rest of the way and won 48-42. Leading Harvey scorer was team co-captain Andrew Schwartz, with 12 points. Others scorers were Harry Solomon with 9 points (3 3-pointers), Tom Smith (6), Josh Gantt (5), and team co-captain Matt Lewis (4), Jake Berkson (2), Jabhari Taylor (2), and Andrew Bowers (2).
BV bball
On December 5th the Harvey boys’ varsity basketball team travelled to South Kent for their first league game of the season. Harvey had the lead going into half-time, but South Kent fought back to gain the win. Harvey’s Aaron McBurnie contributed 29 points in the 67-57 Harvey loss.
On December 9th the team travelled to the New York Military Academy. Harvey had the lead at half-time, but failed to hold on as the Knights fought back to secure a 51-41 victory.
On December 10th the Harvey boys’ varsity basketball team hosted the Wooster School. The score was close throughout the contest, but Harvey struggled to make their shots in the second half. Wooster emerged victorious 49-45.
On December 12th the Harvey boys’ varsity basketball team hosted Greens Farms Academy (Westport, CT). The game was back and forth throughout. Harvey guards Julian Higgs and Ricky Hicks had a fantastic game, frustrating the opponent on offense and defense.
GV Bball
On December 5th the Harvey girls’ varsity basketball team hosted the French American School. Harvey established dominance in the game through forwards Abby Hasset and Gabby Paulhac. Harvey guards Rane Prieto and Cece Nwokocha maintained a high pace game throughout the contest.

No games scheduled except for Fox Lane wrestling.
