On Oct. 28, Fox Lane won against host Yorktown on penalty strokes in an opening-round Section 1 Class A playoff game. The game was 0-0 through overtime.
Also on Friday, host John Jay beat Mahopac 3-0 in a Class A opening-round contest.
Volleyball
Host Fox Lane defeated Beacon 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-13) in the first-round of the Section 1 Class A tournament on Oct. 28.
John Jay beat visiting Tappan Zee (25-17, 30-28, 25-10) in the opening round of the Class A tournament on Oct. 28.
