Bedford's Courtyard Farm on the Market

Owner Kristen Carollo is selling the equestrian facility and moving her business to a smaller barn in Bedford.

Courtyard Farm, a 31-acre property that sits on the Bedford Riding Lanes Trails, is for sale.

Built in 1904 as a country estate, the original barn was destroyed by fire in 1970. Owner Kristen Carollo restored the property, acquired 27 horses—17 of them ponies—and developed an equestrian business that specializes in teaching riding to young children.

Now Carollo is selling the equestrian facility—downsizing to a smaller barn in Bedford but retaining the farm's name and operations. She told Patch she'd like to focus on her own business without serving as a landlord to the large number of stall stables currently connected to the farm.
