Bedford's Paul Shaffer Performs At Harvey School
The long-time TV band leader will host two rising stars in the music industry.

KATONAH, NY — Longtime late-night television band leader Paul Shaffer, a Bedford resident, will be a special guest performer at the Harvey School. "Harvey Presents: Grace Kelly and Kirsten Maxwell" will be presented in the Walker Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21.
Shaffer, who is a singer, composer and musician, will be on the stage of Harvey's Lasdon Theater headlining two rising stars in the music industry, according to a school spokesperson.
Grace Kelly, a singer and saxophonist who tours nationally and internationally, has also performed several times in the house band for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” She is a recent winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Kirsten Maxwell, who accompanies herself on guitar, has been compared to Joan Baez, Judy Collins and Joni Mitchell. The New York native has opened for several top acts, including Melissa Etheridge.

Both young artists will perform as part of a double bill.
