Cub Scout Pack 170 participates in the 30th annual Thunderbird Games

Cub scouts from Bedford/Pound Ridge Pack 170 and scouts from Troops 301 and 154 participated in the Thunderbird Games at Croton-Point-Park on a beautiful fall day.

Thunderbird Games is a traditional region wide Scouting event where Scouts BSA, Explorer and Venturing units, run games for Cub Scouts. There are typically over 40 games/program areas for Cubs to pick from. It is an open program where Cubs can visit games in the order that they choose as many times as they would like. Games included 3-way tug of war, monkey bridge, haunted house, archery and more!

Middle/High school aged scouts from local Troops 301 (girls) and 154 (boys) ran the earth ball station (pictured), keeping cubs entertained for hours.

In addition to games, the Westchester County Police helicopter landed on the parade grounds, an annual tradition, giving the scouts the opportunity to learn about the unit's operations.

Following the games, Pack 170 camped in Croton-Point-Park and enjoyed a model airplane show and fireworks over the Hudson.
