Durst to Go to Prison for Illegal Gun Possession

The South Salem real estate heir is suspected of killing his first wife.

Robert Durst, the Westchester real estate heir, has pleaded guilty to illegal gun possession.

The New York Times said he made the plea in federal court in New Orleans.

Durst is a convicted felon, so he cannot legally possess a gun.

The plea bargain agreement is for Durst to be sentenced to 85 months in prison, which may, according to the Times, lead to him to be arraigned on charges that he murdered Susan Berman, a former confidante.
