Estimated Snow Totals Inch Up Again In Hudson Valley
The storm is bringing more snow to the region than originally thought.

The National Weather Service has upped its estimated snow totals for parts of the Hudson Valley. For southern Westchester County, a winter weather advisory issued Monday morning now calls for 3 to 6 inches of snow, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The advisory is in effect until 2 p.m.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester, the newly issued winter weather advisory said that there could be 4 to 7 inches of snow, again with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The advisory is also in effect until 2 p.m.
The advisory on Sunday estimated Orange, Putnam, Rockland and all of Westchester to be in the 3- to 5-inch range for snow.

A special weather statement issued Monday morning for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties calls for 1 to 4 inches of snow, with the snow falling between a half inch to 1 inch per hour, especially from New Paltz and Poughkeepsie south and east.
Early morning snow total reports Monday show 4.8 inches in Stony Point in Rockland County, 4.5 inches in White Plains in Westchester, 3 inches in Monroe in Orange and 1.8 inches in Carmel in Ulster. The measurements were taken around 8 a.m.

Hudson Valley Weather said the wet snow will taper off from west to east until noon Monday.
