Paradise in the South Pacific with Gamelan Dharma Swara

Gamelan Dharma Swara; Katie Kresek, Caramoor Family Program Designer

Start the summer off right with an escape to the wondrous islands of Indonesia and Gamelan Dharma Swara! Led by master Balinese artists Nyoman Saptanyana and Ida Ayu Ari Candrawati, Gamelan Dharma Swara is one of the most respected gamelan ensembles outside Indonesia.  The ensemble celebrates Balinese gamelan as a living tradition by honoring and strengthening understanding of its established forms, fostering experimentation and collaboration, and broadening appreciation of the Balinese performing arts.
