Westchester Oratorio Society Concert "For Sacred Peace"

Westchester Oratorio Society will perform Mozart's "Requiem" (as completed by Robert D. Levin), Verdi's "Quattro Pezzi Sacri" and Benjamin Britten's "Lacrymosa," from the "War Requiem," as well as two settings of the sacred text "Ave verum corpus,": one by Mozart; the other, by his contemporary, Sussmayr. The performance, under the direction of Benjamin Niemczyk, conductor and Music Director, will fleature soloists Jane Buchi, soprano, Elizabeth Thorne, alto, CHristopher Ellmann, tenor, and Masami Morimoto, bass. Choristers and soloists will be accompanied by James Kennerley, organist, and an instrumental ensemble. A gala reception for all concert-goers will follow the concert.
