Fine Art Gallery in Bedford NY
Art gallery in the heart of Bedford Village featuring local, national & international artists with rare vintage furniture & collectibles.
Red Fox, a fine art gallery opened in Bedford Village this past November. The gallery will continue on through 2017 and has an established group of artists represented along with rare and unique furniture and collectibles.
the following artists are involved:
William Abranowicz, also a Bedford local with 40 years of photography experience, both commercial and fine art. Bill's most recent work up in the gallery, Geologic Time, the series explores environmental change and the process by which it has been altered. The photographs were taken in Upstate New York, Greece and Newfoundland. There is also one large format photo from the artist's Mianus River Gorge series on display at the gallery.

William Carter, a Brooklyn based photographer who designs and builds one of a kind furniture pieces, using reclaimed wood from Brooklyn construction sites. Will has a couple of pieces on display in the gallery; Lost at Sea, a 4'x8' table with a trestle base. The top design is morse code for "SOS." This piece has been sold. Blue Diamond is new to the gallery and is a beautiful cocktail table with a finished trestle base. More pieces will be available early this year. The gallery does take custom requests for the artist on a limited basis.
Rich Carpino, another Bedford local, who hand turns gorgeous wood bracelets and bowls using local trees from the Bedford area, is also represented by Red Fox.

Karrie Hovey, an internationally established mixed media artist,based in San Francisco. Karrie has her 3-D mixed media installation ... The Garden Grows : inside and out, on display at the gallery. The installation consists of hand cut and wired flowers in various colors. The flowers were masterfully crafted using recycled materials from universities and libraries from around the world.
Carey Lowell, has her gorgeous and delicate one of a kind porcelain ceramics in the space. The gallery currently has a limited amount of large and small skulls in various finishes. There is also a small selection of unique hexagon catch all dishes and small tall fluted vases, also in various finishes. Carey also offers scented candles - one scent that is light and ethereal. The candles are hand-poured soy wax in a porcelain cup that can be reused after the candle burns down.
Stephen Proski, a Kansas City based painter and multimedia artist has his complex and engaging works on display. The gallery also features some of Stephen's vintage fashion pieces that have hand painted patches and embroidered "art" crests sewn onto them.
Hana Sackler, a New York native, currently living in Berlin, has a captivating art video that is masterfully produced on display at the gallery. The video actually consists of two different videos that work well together. The editing and sound engineering was all done by Hana. Hana also has three black and white photographs from her Bodies series on exhibit in the space. Hana's works have been recognized by various organizations globally. One of the photographs at the gallery, won Best in Show at ArtClash.
Bernadette Durham has a series of her long exposure photographs taken in Pound Ridge Reservation as part of a collaboration with poet, Elizabeth Hare. The series is titled, Echo and Narcissus and explores both artists interpretation of the myth while working together collectively.
The illustration for Red Fox's branding was created by Silvia Fernandez.
In addition to the artwork, the space is curated using visual vignettes that feature uniquely beautiful vintage furniture, spanning various eras of style, from Art Deco to contemporary.
