Follow The Yellow Brick Road To The Bedford Playhouse Festival

Are you old enough to remember when watching the Wizard of Oz on tv was an annual tradition? Maybe it's time to start a new tradition.

BEDFORD, NY — The Pound Ridge farm hosting the Bedford Playhouse's Yellow Brick Road Fest feels more like Kansas than Oz, but the night's activities promise to transport attendees to a strange and wonderful land nonetheless.

"A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others."

The night's activities will include carnival-style games and entertainment followed by a Kansas-themed BBQ cookout. The festivities will culminate with a screening of The Wizard of Oz under the stars (and ideally no rogue tornadoes off-screen).

The Yellow Brick Road Fest starts at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. Tickets and packages for the festival are available online through the Bedford Playhouse box office.
