Fox Lane High School Celebrates Commended Students

Ten Fox Lane High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Bedford Central School District congratulates seniors Cameron Bly, Catherine Cerone, Maxim Chen, Theodore Friedman (not pictured), Michael Mazurek, Luke McConnell (not pictured), Eleanor Oden, Gregory Ronel, Cole Simon and Jon Torre on this exceptional accomplishment.

Students entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) last October. 34,000 students nationwide were named Commended Students.

The Fox Lane students recognized recently met with Principal Dr. Jennifer Amos and their school counselors to celebrate their achievement.

Superintendent Dr. Robert Glass congratulated students in a letter inviting them to come to a Board of Education meeting to celebrate this accomplishment.

“I congratulate you and anticipate this announcement as only the beginning of a year of celebration of many significant accomplishments,” he said.
