Fox Lane's Will Trawick and his teammates had planned on getting their No. 2 seeded squad to the Section 1 Class AA Final Four at the Westchester County Center in White Plains Feb. 27-March 4.

First though they had to overcome No. 7 visiting North Rockland on Feb. 21 in a quarterfinal contest. The Foxes did just that, beating the Rockland County squad 52-39.

Trawick and Dylan Peretz both scored 13 points for the Foxes.

It will be the Foxes' first postseason trip to the county center since the 2003-04 season when the Stanford-bound Taj Finger led Fox Lane to the Class A crown.

Fox Lane will take on No. 3 Mahopac March 2 in the Final Four.

Girls sectional hoops

However, Pearl River showed why it's the No. 1 seed in the tournament with a 75-52 triumph.
