The Harvey JV Hockey Team traveled to Lasker Rink in Central Park Saturday night (Jan. 28) to take on the Ice Hockey In Harlem Program and downed them 10 - 2. The Cavs dominated the game from the opening face-off jumping out to a 6 - 0 lead after one period and 9 - 1 after two.
The Cavs were the more talented team but exhibited considerable class and respect for their opponents. Several Cavs' players mentioned to the coaching staff how much they admired their opponents' work ethic, determination and love of the game.

The Cavs scoring was as follows: Freshman Tommy Gattuso paced the team with two goals and three assists, Sophomore Rory Knox added two goals and two assists, Freshman Joe Sorrentino tallied one goal and two assists, and Sophomores Myles Greenwald, Charlie Seider and Kieran O' Conner connected for a goal and two assists each.
Junior Pat Taylor and Senior Will Schubert added one goal and two assists each and Freshman Defenseman Marc Catanese chipped in with a team high three assists. Freshman goaltender Marcus Plummer faced only 12 shots total but several were either breakaways and / or point-blank shots and he came up big.
Special mention to the Ice Hockey in Harlem Team and coaching staff who skated hard, were terrific ambassadors of the game and made the whole experience delightful.
