KATONAH, NY — The word "artisan" had become a meaningless buzzword in recent years, but in this case, the description is appropriate.

The Guild & Grange artisan marketplace is happening this weekend at the John Jay Homestead.

More than 25 artisans from Brooklyn to the Hudson Valley and beyond will be in an open-air marketplace. The organizers describe it as "an artisan marketplace of craft wares, a gathering place for the exchange of ideas and skills, a weekend for neighbors to connect and nurture the cooperative spirit." The marketplace will include ceramics, textiles, jewelry, glassware, furniture, leather goods and more.
