The dances included the tarantella from Italy, the Odunde from Africa, the Mexican hat dance and the troika from Russia.

First-grade students at Katonah Elementary School took their peers, families and friends on a trip around the world during a special dance performance on Dec. 11.
Thanks to the PTO, Livia Vanaver of Vanaver Caravans was able to work with each first-grade class for 45 minutes over a period of four days. On the fifth day of the program, students showcased what they learned – the tarantella from Italy, Odunde from Africa, the Mexican hat dance and the troika from Russia.
