Katonah-Lewisboro Superintendent Named As Co-Defendent in Horace Greeley Sex-Abuse Lawsuit

KATONAH, NY — The superintendent of the Katonah-Lewisboro district has been named a co-defendant in the lawsuit involving the former Horace Greeley High School drama teacher sex-abuse case.
The Daily Voice said Andrew Selesnick was principal of Horace Greeley from 2003 to 2012 and an assistant superintendent for HR from 2012 to 2015.
Teacher Christopher Schraufnagel was accused of engaging students in games that had sexual overtones, inappropriate touching and alcohol and drug use.

He has pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the plea deal entered in New Castle town court.
Schraufnagel was placed on paid leave in June 2015, and then resigned in September 2015.

He taught speech and theater for 12 years at Horace Greeley.
