Lewisboro Candidate Forum Scheduled By League Of Women Voters

First up will be candidates for County Board of Legislature.

LEWISBORO, NY — The League of Women Voters of North East Westchester and local newspaper The Record-Review are co-sponsoring a candidate forum on Wednesday, October 25. The event will take place at the Lewisboro Library, 15 Main St. in South Salem. The event begins at 7 p.m.

The evening will start with the candidates running for the County Board of Legislators, District 2. Republican incumbent Francis Corcoran is being challenged by Democrat Kitley Covill. The Town of Lewisboro candidates will follow. Incumbent Supervisor Peter Parsons is being challenged by Jason Krellenstein. Four people are running for two seats on the town board: incumbent Peter DeLucia and incumbent Frank Kelly, Jane Crimmins and Tony Goncalves. Receiver of Taxes Deirdre Casper and Town Justice Mark Seedorf are running unopposed.

“The forum is free of charge,” said Del Bashkow, co-president of the league. “We encourage Lewisboro residents to come with questions for their town candidates and urge all District 2 voters to come with questions for the county candidates.”

District 2 includes Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge and part of Somers.

The League of Women Voters of North East Westchester will provide a handout detailing the ballot questions facing voters in November. The group has also mailed printed Voters Guides to area households.
