Local DAR Polly Cooper Chapter Welcomes 98 New Citizens

Chappaqua, New York – Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR were honored to participate in the naturalization ceremony at the Richard Daronco Courthouse in White Plains on February 9, 2024.

Maria DeBorba-Silva and Barbara Napoli presented flags, flag code booklets andAmerican flag pins to welcome 98 new citizens of the United States. Naturalization ceremonies are the final step immigrants must take before becoming a US Citizen, after passing a US citizenship interview and exam.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation's children. Its members descend from patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. With 178,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world's largest and most active service organizations.
