Local Scout BSA troop for girls attends historic 75th Camp

This past weekend, Troop 301 scouts from Bedford and Katonah-Lewisboro school district attended the Bullowa 75th anniversary Camporee in Stony Point, New York.

The scouts participated in a number of fun and skill based activities including Archery, Two Person Saw, Knots Life Line, Olympic Jump Contest, and map & compass.

Troop 301 for girls was founded on March 1, 2019, the first day that girls were able to join the Scouts BSA program. Founding members include girls from Bedford Central and Katonah-Lewisboro School districts, 4 of which have already attained the coveted rank of Eagle Scout!

Their adventure continues as the scouts are already planning their next adventures for October, including volunteering at the Thunderbird Games - fun day of activities for Cub Scouts across Westchester/Putnam/Rockland counties - and canoe camping down the Delaware river.
