Fox Lane Tennis Team Falls to Greeley, 2-5
Greeley took the match after winning all four doubles matches.
Fox Lane and Horace Greeley were both missing a few of their top starters in Tuesday's opening match of the season. Greeley swept four doubles matches leading to their first victory this Spring.
Fox Lane's number one and number three singles starters, Cameron and Jesse Silverman, were away visitng Elon University. Horace Greeley's top players because they failed to meet the required number of practices to be eligible for a Section 1 match, due to their participation in other tournaments.
In No. 1 doubles, Ned Terrace and Spencer Goldberg beat Ryan Peterson and Matt Swensen, 6-0, 6-2. Mike Goodman and Charlie Erlikh beat Andrew Browne and Gregg Owen 6-0, 6-0. Noah Deutsch and Neal Port beat Ross Vandenhoek and Mark Robbings 6-2, 6-0. And in fourth doubles, Harry Kaskel teamed with Jake Green to defeat Jordan Federbush and Matt Bruck 6-3, 6-1.

Also winning for Greeley was Ben Gilman, who won at first singles over Charlie Ghriskey, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Fox Lane took two singles matches. Nick Simon beat Benju Shamus in second singles, 6-3, 6-1 and freshman Levi Kimmel outlasted Alex Davis, 4-6, 6-5, 7-6 (5) in third singles.
