McBurnie Leads Cavs: Bedford-Katonah Daily Sports Digest Feb. 23

Harvey vs. Chase

On Wednesday, February 15th the Harvey Boys’ Varsity basketball team travelled to the Chase Collegiate School. Chase jumped out to an early lead. 

They were able to hit some tough outside shots and grab offensive rebounds, which allowed them to stay in control of the game. They held a 17 point lead at halftime.

The Cavaliers gave great effort in the second half, but were unable to come back. The final was Chase 61, Harvey 40. Harvey was led by senior Aaron McBurnie, who had a game high 18 points. Harvey junior Julien Higgs added 10 points.

Harvey vs. EF International

On Friday, February 17th Harvey’s Boys’ Varsity basketball team hosted EF International Academy. This was a close battle throughout, as EF came ready to play.

They were scrappy and aggressive from the onset. Harvey was able to match their intensity. Harvey led by 1 at the half. They were able to hold off EF for a 2 point victory. The final was 50-48.

Harvey was led by Aaron McBurnie who pumped in a game high 14 points. Harvey freshman Ricky Hicks added 11 points.

Harvey vs. South Kent

Saturday February 18th was senior day for the Harvey Boys’ Varsity basketball team. The Cavaliers took on South Kent. Harvey gave an inspired effort throughout.

South Kent held a 2 point lead at halftime. In the second half Harvey kept the game close and was even able to tie the score at 42. 

Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, South Kent got hot from the outside and was able to take a lead. The final was South Kent 64, Harvey 51.

Harvey was led by Senior Aaron McBurnie who scored a game high 23 points. Senior Luidgi Lezeau also added 11 points for the Cavaliers.
