North Salem School District Budget Vote Tuesday
Voters will have their say on the district's planned $47,860,718 spending package for 2022-2023 on May 17, when the budget is on the ballot.
NORTH SALEM, NY — Voters will have the final say on the school budget on May 17.
The proposed budget is $47,860,718, with a 4.24 percent increase over the 2021-22 spending package.
School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.07 percent if the budget is approved by voters later this month.

There are a total of three school trustee seats to be filled for three-year terms. The following candidates are running uncontested:
- Deborah D'Agostino (incumbent)
- Brandy Keenan (incumbent)
- Frances Havard
Voters will also be asked to vote on a proposition regarding $1,085,000 funding for seven 66-passenger school buses, three wheelchair-accessible buses/vans and a skid steer bucket loader with attachments.

The annual budget vote and board election will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 17 at Pequenakonck Elementary School, in the gymnasium.
