Pound Ridge Library Trustee to Explore Negotiations with Fired Director

The newly installed board took a vote at a recent closed session.

POUND RIDGE, NY — The newly installed board at the Pound Ridge Library voted to allow a trustee to follow up on a request to negotiate with the lawyer of the recently fired library director.

According to an article at the Journal News, the attorney for Marilyn Tinter said his client feels that she was let go from the $97,237-per-year position unjustly and that she wants to be rehired by the library.

Tinter was dismissed September 26 and the next day voters elected a slate of new people to the board. Then-current board president Erin Trostle was not re-elected.

One of the accusations lobbed against Tinter was that she inflated circulation numbers in an effort to increase the library's budget.
