Troops 301 and 154 Dominate Summer Camp Adventures!
As the summer draws to a close, Troops 301 and 154 have much to celebrate and be proud of. This year's summer camp was a resounding success.
Troops 154 and 301 spent a week at Ten Mile River scout reservation in the Catskills.
Highlights from their week include:
1. Critter Hunt: Both Troops 154 and 301 put on a stellar performance, securing the first-place position.

2. Treasure Hunt: Troop 154 took home the first-place trophy in the Treasure Hunt event, showcasing their excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
3. Honor Troop: Both Troops 154 and 301 were recognized as an Honor Troop, a well-deserved accolade for their active participation in various camp activities. This honor was earned through their involvement in events like Critter Hunt, Treasure Hunt, Spirit Days (crazy hat, pirate, etc.), Troop Cook-off, OA service project, and the adventurous Polar Bear Swim.

4. Campfire Entertainment: The scouts demonstrated their creativity and talent by presenting a skit/song at the closing campfire, entertaining their fellow campers and creating lasting memories.
5. Scoutmaster Involvement: The scoutmasters themselves led by example, participating in the SM merit badge and SM shotgun competition, showcasing their commitment to lifelong learning and camaraderie.
6. Site Improvement: Troops 154 and 301 contributed to the campsite's enhancement by constructing bridges over wet and muddy areas. Their efforts will leave a lasting impact on future campers and the campsite itself.
7. Merit Badge Completions: Scouts earned over 100 merit badges in Search & Rescue, Fishing, Water Sports, Salesmanship, Emergency Preparedness, Journalism, Game Design, Astronomy, Motor Boating, Rowing, and more!
Overall, Troops 154 and 301's impressive showing at this year's summer camp is a testament to the scouts' hard work, the leaders' guidance, and the unwavering support from parents and volunteers. The experience gained at summer camp will not only enrich their scouting journey but also instill values and skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.
