The Strawberry Festival is Back!

The Strawberry Festival is only once a year, and it's not just for families and kids.

One of the greatest Bellmore events that teens definitely love is coming around again: the Strawberry Festival.

Okay, so when you were younger you loved going with your family and going on all the kid rides, but now that you’re older, you can go with your friends and have a blast! It’s still fun -- except in a different way.

Now you can go on the older kid rides, including "The Zipper" and "The Himalaya." Also, play games and win prizes.

And girls, you can try to get the guy you like to win something for you or go on a ride with you to hold your hand. Not going to lie, the fair is the perfect place to make your move -- I have experience.

One of the best parts of the Strawberry Festival has to be the food. Virgin strawberry daiquiris or just plain strawberries! There are also fair favorites like zeppoles, cotton candy and popcorn.

There’s also live music playing periodically.

The great thing about the Strawberry Festival is that it’s close by and the price to get in is only $2. You can invite a huge group of friends to go together and spend however much you want when it comes to food, rides and games.

The Strawberry Festival is in the back field of the Nassau BOCES School on Jerusalem Avenue for five days: Wednesday and Thursday from 6-10 p.m., Friday from 6-11 p.m., Saturday from 12-11 p.m., and Sunday from 12-8 p.m.

So head on down whenever you’re available and kick off the summer with the great weather we’re supposed to be having, a group of friends and tons of fun!
