Breast Cancer Screening

This breast cancer screening program is sponsored by state Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. in conjunction with NuHealth/Nassau Health Care Corporation.

Their guidelines for the program are as follows:

• The program is open to all Nassau County women ages 40 and over.
• Women covered by insurance, Medicaid or Medicare will have their carrier billed and must bring their information card to the screening. NuHealth/Nassau Health Care Corporation policy now requires patients to be responsible for any co-pays charged by their carrier.
• Women ages 40 and older without health insurance will not incur any out-of-pocket costs.

Appointments are necessary and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. To make an appointment for a screening, please call Sen. Fuschillo's office at 882-0630.
