Officials Seize Hundreds of Turtles, Birds From Long Island Home: Reports
The homeowner previously had an alligator removed from his home, according to the reports.

Officials seized about 130 turtles and 270 birds from a Bellmore home on Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.
The animals were removed from an Ocean Avenue home owned by Gary Gruber, who had an alligator removed from his home last year and told him to "clean up," Newsday reports.
However, he did not meet the multiple deadlines given to him to clean up his house, ABC7 reports.

According to ABC7, officials also found skunks, rabbits and chinchillas in the house.
"It was animals living in filthy water," Nassau County SPCA spokesman Gary Rogers told ABC. "They didn't have the proper food and water, and they were living without a wholesome supply of healthy fresh air."
