Students Pay Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Bellmore students at Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center recognize the civil rights leader.
At the Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center, students in Christopher Merz’s first-grade class and Eloise Eisenhardt’s second-grade class collaborated to study Doreen Rappaport’s book “Martin’s Big Words” and discuss the importance and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s teachings.
Each Bellmore student was asked to select and decorate a word they felt expressed Dr. King’s ideas and beliefs. Students shared their words and understandings with their classmates in both classes and together created a collage to celebrate Dr. King’s life.
