Binghamton Native's Rescue Pup Stories in New Chicken Soup for the Soul Book

Two stories written by Colleen Lent, a native of Binghamton, are featured in the new Chicken Soup for the Soul: Best Dog Ever book released nationally on August 18, 2026.

Lent's stories titled "Rescue Pups Rescue a Pup" and the "Beagle Escapee Factor" are true accounts of the laughter and joy her dogs Baxter, Mia, and Bogart brought after they were adopted from different animal nonprofit organizations in Malone, New York; Limerick, Maine; and Dover, New Hampshire.
