Join the Bridgehampton Museum for the opening of Sagg Swamp, a new exhibition by Bridgehampton native and acclaimed artist Laurie Lambrecht. For more than a decade, Lambrecht has returned to Sagg Swamp, observing its trees, tangled branches, water, lichen, and dense undergrowth through photography and handwork. The exhibition brings together photographs, textiles, knitting, weaving, and stitched works inspired by the landscape, exploring the patterns, textures, and rhythms of one of the South Fork’s most ecologically diverse wetlands. Sagg Swamp offers an intimate portrait of a place that has served as Lambrecht’s sanctuary, muse, and enduring source of creative discovery.
