Anthony Lore Sr. Wins Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners Election

Lore defeated Brian Keating.

With a total of 466 votes, Anthony Lore Sr. won Tuesday’s Board of Fire Commissioners election in Eastchester, according to officials.

Lore defeated Brian E. Keating, who received 261 votes. The two were vying for the post held by Raymond O’Hare, who did not seek re-election.

A total of 727 were cast, and Lore will join fellow commissioners Jerry Napolitano, Steven Baker, Peter Incledon and Chairman Dennis J. Winter.

The term is five years. According to officials, the Eastchester Fire District is “a separate and autonomous unit of government that serves Eastchester, Bronxville, as well as Tuckahoe.” The district is overseen by a Board of five commissioners “who are responsible for general administration; the appointment of department personnel, physician, attorney, and secretary; and the preparation and adoption of the annual Fire District budget after a public hearing.”

For 2015, the fire district budget is $17.3 million.
