The Chapel School Choir Sings Carols at Wartburg
December 5th The Chapel School Choir sang for local seniors at The Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mount Vernon, NY.
Bronxville, NY- On Friday, December 5th The Chapel School Choir sang for local seniors at The Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mount Vernon, NY. The choir, led by Chapel School music teacher Mr. George Heath, delighted the audience with their Christmas Carol inspired performance. “The energy that came into the chapel when the children arrived was fantastic,” said one attendee. They sang a number of holiday songs including, “Silent Night” and “Christmas is Coming.” The audience greatly enjoyed hearing the children sing. “It is great to see the children enjoying themselves too. I hope they will remember these times and think that seniors can have fun times like everyone else,” stated a Wartburg staff member. The Wartburg offers integrated, comprehensive senior care services. They provide a wide range of services to both residents and people in their own homes.
The Chapel School Choir consists of students in grades 3-8 at The Chapel School. Admittance into the choir is by audition. The choir has an intense performance schedule throughout the year. Venues have included Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School, Concordia College - New York, Relay for Life, Celebrity Chef Cook-off at Trotter’s in White Plains, Shea Stadium, Citi-field, and the Bronxville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. “The Chapel School is a wonderful institution filled with people who are passionate about their work and the development of children,” stated a parent.
