The Children's Village Honors Bronxville's John Priesing and raises $500,000 at its Annual Circle of Friends Dinner
May 7 at Chelsea Piers
NEW YORK, NY – The Children’s Village (CV), which provides critical services to more than 10,000 children and families throughout the New York metropolitan area, hosted its fifteenth annual Circle of Friends fundraising event on Thursday, May 7 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. This event raised $500,000, including substantial funds from corporate partners such as Ambac and Macquarie Group. The sold out crowd was captivated by a film created by a CV alum which detailed his experience as a teenager imprisoned on Riker’s Island and they were moved by the story of a father who worked hard to get his son back home.
The Corporate Award was given to Enterprise Fleet Management for its long-standing partnership with The Children’s Village and support of its mission. The Legacy of Service Award was given to John Priesing, who has been involved with CV for more than 30 years, having served as a trustee for 15 years and Board President for 7 of those years.
Immediately following the dinner, The Children’s Village Leadership Council hosted its fifth annual Connect 4 A Cause Gala. The Leadership Council is a group of young professionals from metro New York City who volunteer time and raise funds for children and families connected to The Children’s Village.
