Garrett Park Neighborhood Association - Annual Block Party and Flea Market

The sixth annual Garret Park Neighborhood Association block party and flea market will take place on Sunday, September 25 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The event includes flea market tables featuring a wide assortment of finds from neighbors who are clearing treasures form closets, folks who are making room for the new, some crafters, and usually a professional exhibitor or two. Tom Falconi, a popular local caterer and personal chef, a resident of Garrett Park, will once again lead his grill team in offering hot dogs, burgers etc. at nominal prices. Entertainment, back by popular demand will begin at noon.
The event takes place on the portion of Parkview Ave that runs between Palmer Road and Pondfield Road West. The entrances are from Palmer Road (directly opposite the southbound entrance to the Bronx River Parkway) and from Pondfield Road West (the walkway by the doctors' offices and the Pondfield Cafe). Automobile traffic and parking will be suspended on Parkview from Garrett Place to Pondfield Road West in order to allow for safe browsing. Tables and chairs are set up so people can eat, relax and people watch in addition to searching for treasures that line the street. It is a very fun day!

Any funds raised are used to support neighborhood projects such as the Bridge Gardeners who create the beautiful gardens by the Palmer Road and Pondfield Road West bridges.
The Garrett Park Neighborhood Association has been a grassroots organization for more than 20 years. The association represents the area encompassing apartments, both cooperative and rental, on Parkview Avenue (Parkview Avenue to Palmer Road), Bronxville Road (Kimball Avenue to Pondfield Road West) and Pondfield Road West (Bronxville Road to Parkview Avenue). The group, made up of representatives from the member buildings, meets on a regular basis throughout the year.
The objective of the Garrett Park Neighborhood Association is to continue to enhance the quality of life for residents of the area. Over the years the Association has been addressing such local interests as beautification, safety, and sanitation, as well as fostering a sense of community.
