Family Services of Westchester to Hold Discussion on Dementia and Alzheimer's
The discussion, which will feature representatives from the Alzheimer's Association, will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

The following announcement is from Family Services of Westchester, Inc.:
Family Services of Westchester, Inc. will present our second in a series of “Let’s Talk About…” community awareness discussions on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Raymour & Flanigan showroom in White Plains. A panel of experts including representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association and FSW’s My Second Home, an intergenerational adult day program in Mt. Kisco, will discuss the issue of memory loss and aging and answer questions such as: What is and isn’t normal memory loss? What are the causes of cognitive decline? What are the symptoms that indicate the onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s? Older adults, family members, and caregivers are encouraged to join us to learn more about this important topic and discuss its impact on individuals, families and the community.
