Filmmaker Michael Moore Criticizes Sarah Lawrence College

Filmmaker Michael Moore criticized Sarah Lawrence College for the institution’s hiring of a law firm with a reputation of tough tactics involving unions, according to a report in The Journal News.

Some of the school’s building workers have voted to form a union, and the school has hired the law firm Bond, Schoeneck and King to assist with its negotiations with the group. The school has been urged to dismiss the firm, which it has not said it will do.

“It would be the last place I would expect to see this kind of rotten behavior,” said Moore, as quoted by The Journal News. Moore was speaking at a teacher event at the school, where his daughter attended a decade ago.

The school said it supports the workers’ right to unionize.
