Junior League of Bronxville's Touch-A-Truck: List of Attractions

What kid wouldn’t love to climb aboard a fire truck or big rig? The Junior League of Bronxville’s Fifth Annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser will provide an opportunity for children to get hands on experience with all types of public service and commercial vehicles. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2014, 10:00am-3:00pm, at the Immaculate Conception School Field, located at 53 Winterhill Road and White Plains Road (Rte 22) in Tuckahoe, New York (rain or shine).
This year’s Touch-A-Truck is bigger than ever, thanks to the support from lots of local businesses. The attractions include:
- Westchester County Department of Public Safety helicopter
- Eastchester fire trucks
- The Tuckahoe Trolley
- An Army truck.
- Animals from SPCA of Westchester
- Face painter and balloon artist (courtesy of Mickey Spillane’s)
- DJ Samir will fill the air with family-friendly music
- Greenburgh Nature Center
- Hay ride (courtesy of Nature’s Cradle Nursery)
- Two bounce houses (provided in part by Leaps n Bounces A.D.M.)
- LIVE performance by The Bossy Frog Band at 10:30 AM

The JLB enjoys the support of local merchants who have generously donated goods and services towards this year’s raffle baskets, including Breezeway, Tryforos & Perinece Florist, Womwrath Books, Tuck’d Away Bar & Grille, Bronxville Community Church, and author, Eileen Palma.
Tickets at the door are $10 per person. Children under one are free. Families can save $10 with an advance purchase of four or more tickets at www.jlbronxville.org.

Proceeds from this event will support JLB’s mission to fight hunger and promote proper nutrition within its service areas of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers.
