If chocolate is more your thing:
We’ve got nothing against those boxes of Russell Stover’s, but c’mon. Get a little creative with your chocolate gift this year with Andree dessert. Here’s how owner and pastry chef Mariana Delgado Gambini describes it: “hazelnut layers with milk chocolate and dark chocolate cream with edible gold leaves on top, with red currants. It’s the perfect combination for a chocolate lover.” They’ll have it at the Parkway Road patisserie starting today.
If you’d rather spend time admiring the arts:
The exhibit “Nurturing Nature: Artists Engage the Environment” opens tonight at Concordia College’s Osilas Gallery and features a host of artists. “Their works attempt to bridge the gap between art and life by raising an appreciation of the natural world and by engaging in a collaborative or nurturing process with nature,” it says on the gallery website. The is open until 7:30 on Thursday, 5 p.m. on Friday and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend.
If you’re more into listening to music together:
