Woman Crashes Car While Twice Legal Limit For Alcohol: PD
She was evaluated at the scene for a minor injury.

EASTCHESTER, NY — An Eastchester woman was arrested after being accused of having a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit while driving in Mamaroneck. State police said around 2 a.m. April 27, troopers responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on I-95 in the Town of Mamaroneck.
An investigation found that the driver — Laura K. Cloherty, 31, of Eastchester — lost control of her 2017 Nissan Rogue and struck a concrete barrier.
She was intoxicated at the time, police said.

After being evaluated by emergency medical technicians at the scene for a minor injury, Cloherty was taken to the New Rochelle barracks where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent, police said.
She was subsequently charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and vehicle and traffic violations.

Cloherty was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Mamaroneck Court May 6.
