Police said that on further investigation, they found that a 60-year-old man was walking southbound on Flatbush Avenue when he was struck by a 23-year-old driving southbound in a sedan and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained on scene and was taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, with minor head injuries, police said.
