Brooklyn Acting Lab’s Winter/Spring 2018 Semester

As we welcome our 10th Anniversary Season, we are excited to announce our classes for January - June.

Brooklyn Acting Lab is a comprehensive and immersive theatre program for ages 3 to adult.

We believe a diversity of students is fundamental to developing our rich ensembles and are committed to diversifying our student body through scholarships and financial aid.

This semester’s classes include:

  • Storybook Theatre: Wildlife Adventure (Pre-K - Kindergarten)

Enter the world of immersive and dramatic play and storytelling in Storybook Theatre.

  • Tuesday Junior Acting Lab: Sound of Music (1st - 4th Grade)
  • Thursday Junior Acting Lab: Harry Potter (1st - 4th Grade)

Devise original theatre through collaboration centered around your favorite stories.

  • Broadway Bound (1st - 4th Grade)

Sing, dance and act in a complete training program for young performers.

  • Jr. Musical Ensemble: Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr (1st - 5th Grade)

Rehearse for a full-scale musical production and hone singing, dancing and acting skills.

  • Junior Improv Troupe (3rd - 5th Grade)
  • Improv Troupe (5th - 9th Grade)

Learn the fundamental aspects of improvisation: working as an ensemble, activating your impulses, and “Yes, and...”!

  • Musical Ensemble: Musical Revue (5th - 9th Grade)

Prepare yourself for the stage with an intensive training program comprised of voice, movement, dance and performance skills.

  • Triple Threat Thursday: Classical Theatre (5th - 9th Grade)

Activate classical texts, learn about stage combat, and work on your British accent!

  • Youth Acting Lab (5th - 9th Grade)

Explore theatrical texts and bring them to life through playful techniques and skill-building exercises.

  • Adult Acting Lab (16+)

Explore acting techniques, voice and speech and character development in this exploratory laboratory.
