NYC DOT builds bus boarding islands on Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn (news12.com) — If you ride buses or bike along Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn, expect short-term construction and temporary stop changes as NYC DOT builds two new bus boarding islands. Officials say the redesign should cut bus delays, separate cyclists from buses, and improve safety, with work expected to wrap up within a couple of weeks.

4. 9th Outdoor Fair Showcases Art in Crown Heights (collive.com) — Crown Heights residents just enjoyed the 9th Geulah Jewish Art Fair on Eastern Parkway, featuring live music and a wide range of Jewish artwork. Pink Runway returns to Brooklyn Museum for 15th anniversary celebrating breast cancer survivors • Brooklyn Paper (brooklynpaper.com) — Breast cancer survivors and their supporters in Brooklyn can join the 15th annual Pink Runway celebration at the Brooklyn Museum on Oct. 27, supporting Maimonides Breast Cancer Center. The evening runway show, awards, and fundraising highlight survivorship while backing local screening and treatment programs, including free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women.
