Pedestrian Killed In Cypress Hills Crosswalk: Police
Luis Cabrera died three days after Janice Singleton rammed into him with her 2012 Honda CRV, police said.

CYPRESS HILLS, BROOKLYN — A driver who didn't yield the right of way to a pedestrian killed a 69-year-old man in a Cypress Hills crosswalk last week, police said.
Janice Singleton, 57, was making a left turn off Euclid Avenue onto Ridgewood Avenue when she rammed into Luis Cabrera around 6:40 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, said police.
Singleton’s 2012 Honda CRV knocked the Cypress Hills resident to the ground and caused him to hit his head, said police.

Emergency responders rushed Cabrera with head trauma to Jamaica Hospital, but doctors were unable o save his life and he died Monday, police said.
Singleton has been charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care, police said.
