74-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit By Car In Brownsville, Officials Say
The elderly man was rushed to St. John's Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A 74-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a Volkswagen in a Brooklyn intersection Thursday morning, officials said.
The elderly man was crossing Atlantic and Rockaway avenues around 5:25 a.m. Thursday morning when he was hit by the Volkswagen Passat traveling west on Atlantic Avenue, police said.
The man was rushed to St. John’s Hospital in critical condition, according to an FDNY spokesman.

The 45-year-old Passat driver, who remained on the scene, is not suspected of any crime but the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
