Armed Teens Force Livery Cab To Crash During Robbery, Police Say
Police are looking for three teens who tried to rob a livery cab in East New York earlier this month.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Four teenagers tried to rob their livery cab driver then caused him to crash his car during a struggle to grab his cash, according to police.
The four teens tried to rob the 47-year-old livery cab who picked them up outside Brookdale Hospital around 5:30 a.m. last Wednesday, police said.
When the group approached their destination at Flatlands Avenue and Elton Street, one of the teens pulled out a gun and demanded the driver hand over his money, said police.

The driver was attacked when he refused and, during the struggle, crashed his car into two parked vehicles, police said.
The kids ran away and emergency responders treated the driver for a cut on his finger, police said.

Police arrested a 14-year-old suspect and charged him with three counts of robbery, but have yet to identify the other three, whom they describe as two young men and a young woman all about 16-years-old.
Police released surveillance photos of the suspects that shows one of the boys wore a red shirt with Elmo on the front, the other wore a hoodie and jeans, and the girl wore a pink shirt and black leggings.
