Armpit Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured In ENY, Cops Say

Police are looking for five suspects accused of ambushing a 35-year-old in East New York and shooting him in the armpit.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN β€” A bullet to the armpit has left a man critically injured, police said.

The 35-year-old man and another 26-year-old man were ambushed near the corner of Hendrix Street and Dumont Avenue on May 26 at about 8 p.m., police said.

The 35-year-old took a bullet to his right armpit and the 26-year-old was shot in the right leg, according to police.

Emergency responders rushed both men to Brookdale Hospital where the 35-year-old remains in critical condition and the 26-year-old is listed as stable, police said.

Police released photos of four out of five suspects β€” whom police describe as men in their 20s β€”late Monday night.
