Ax-Wielding Burglar Steals Dollar Tree Merchandise And Plumbing Supplies, Police Say

Police released a photo of the suspect wanted for burglarizing a Dollar Tree store and Brownsville home on Wednesday.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two burglars who have run off with hundreds of dollars worth of Dollar Tree merchandise and plumbing supplies.

The suspects broke into the Dollar Tree on Saint Marks and East New York avenues around 11 p.m. on Aug. 22. and stole $200 in goods, police said.

Then last Wednesday, one of the two men jumped the fence of a backyard near Sherlock Place and Herkimer Street and used a pick ax to break into the house, said police.

The thief nabbed $100 in plumbing supplies and fled, police said.

Police describe one suspect as a five-foot-eight tall man who weighs about 185 pounds.
