Brooklyn Baby Girl's Death Investigated By Police

Police will investigate the death of one-month-old Unique Fernandez, who was found unconscious in her East New York home on Saturday.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Police will investigate the death of a Brooklyn baby girl.

Emergency responders rushed to the home of 1-month old Unique Fernandes at Livonia and New Lots avenue, where she lay unconscious, around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The baby was taken to Brookdale University Hospital where doctors were unable to save her life, said police.

The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how the small girl died, police said.
